Hi There! Let us introduce ourselves. 


Our names are Carl Birmingham Co-Owner/Chef And Brittany LeVasseur Co-Owner/General Manager. We are so excited to Join the Downtown community here in Bangor, Maine. With a Combined 40 years in the food industry we can’t wait for you to enjoy our food. Brittany has been building a delicious cocktail menu and front of the house procedures to surely wow you. Carl has been plugging away on his new menu. By building all elements of a dish from scratch you will find  fresh breads, sauces, cured meats and even cheeses.  Carl's take on creating a menu is forged with care & respect. Using only the freshest Local product & producing our own components will not only bring originality to our menu but also sustainability & resilience to supply chain shortages. 

The Butcher, The Baker New American Scratch Kitchen   First Originated as a food trailer and we successfully ran for   two years catering events, private chef dinners and a pop up kitchens through out Maine.  We originally wanted a restaurant but never found the perfect spot, Until now.   Our vision for this restaurant came up when we took a vacation to NYC.  While on vacation we found everything we felt Bangor was missing.  The Attention to detail from interior, to the food, cocktails and customer service.  We expect perfection and attention to each plate that is set in front of our guests.  With our lunch and dinner menu our guests can expect a casual lunch or intimate dinner, with comfy seating and a delicious bite from every plate.  Each menu item is hand made from scratch and never frozen.  You might also see something on our menu you have never eaten before.  To us that’s great, we love introducing new dishes and watching the faces of our guest melt with delight!  With our Open kitchen plan we hope to give our guest a peak into what it takes to make a delicious meal.  Welcome to 84 Hammond Street in Downtown Bangor.
